As A Remote Accounting Intern, You Will Learn Hands-On Bookkeeping And Accounting For Small And Medium-Sized Businesses Across Various Industries, Working Alongside Experienced Accountants On Real Client Files. This Work From Home Internship Is A Practical Starting Point For Fresh Graduates Building A Career In Professional Accounting.
What You Will Learn And Do
- Maintain Accurate And Well-Organized Financial Records
- Assist In Reconciling Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, And Payment Processors (Stripe, PayPal, Shopify Payments, Etc.)
- Record Journal Entries And Update The General Ledger Under Supervision
- Process And Verify Invoices, Bills, Payments, And Receipts
- Assist In Preparing Monthly, Quarterly, And Annual Financial Statements
- Help Set Up And Maintain Clients’ Chart Of Accounts
- Support Budgeting, Forecasting, And Variance Analysis
- Communicate With The Team And Clients Via Slack, Email, Zoom, And Teams
- Learn IFRS-Based Practices And Multi-Currency Accounting (USD, EUR, CAD, Etc.)
- Track Deadlines To Ensure Timely Reporting And Filing
- Suggest Process Improvements And Time-Saving Ideas
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree In Accounting Or Finance (Completed Or Final Year)
- No Prior Work Experience Required
- Sincere, Energetic, And Eager To Learn
- Fast And Clear Communicator Who Responds Quickly And Keeps The Team Updated
- Good Written And Spoken English
- Basic Understanding Of Debits/Credits, P&L, Balance Sheet, And Cash Flow
- Comfortable With Microsoft Excel And Google Sheets (Formulas, Lookups, And Pivot Tables Are A Plus)
- Familiarity With QuickBooks Online, Xero, Zoho Books, Or NetSuite Is A Plus
- Free Certifications (QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Xero Advisor) Are A Strong Advantage
- Interest In E-Commerce Accounting (Shopify/Amazon) Or Payroll Is A Plus
- Access To A Reliable Computer And High-Speed Internet Connection
