About the Role  

Nongmin Consultancy Services Ltd is expanding its remote workforce and is currently seeking a meticulous and highly motivated Accounting Associate to support financial operations for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. Key Responsibilities  

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records 
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and merchant payment processors 
  • Record and manage journal entries and general ledgers with precision 
  • Process and verify invoices, bills, payments, and receipts 
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements 
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis 
  • Update and manage the client’s Chart of Accounts 
  • Provide responsive client support via Zoom, email, Slack, and Teams 
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and standard accounting practices 
  • Handle multi-currency accounting (USD, EUR, CAD, etc.) 
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely reporting, filing, and submissions 
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements 
  • Stay informed on financial laws and compliance requirements relevant to client industries 

Requirements  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping 
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and prioritize tasks effectively 
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, Zoho Books, or NetSuite) with relevant certifications 
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets 
  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) 
  • Solid understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports 
  • Familiarity with e-commerce accounting (Shopify/Amazon) is a plus 
  • Basic payroll knowledge is an advantage 
  • Access to a reliable computer and high-speed internet connection 
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines 
  • Proactive communicator with excellent collaboration skills
