Nongmin Consultancy Services is seeking a passionate and motivated Junior Web Developer to join our growing digital team. We are focused on delivering high-impact web experiences for clients across various industries. Our projects range from custom WordPress sites to dynamic e-commerce platforms built on Shopify. Key Responsibilities
- Build and optimize secure, scalable web pages tailored to evolving business needs.
- Develop and maintain responsive, fast WordPress websites, including theme customization, page creation, and plugin integration.
- Support the development and optimization of Shopify stores, including product setup, theme adjustments, and app integrations.
- Integrate third-party APIs and payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, POS system).
- Provide ongoing support and updates for one or more web properties.
- Collaborate with designers and marketers to implement responsive, user-friendly web interfaces.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across browsers and devices.
- Perform routine updates, backups, and performance checks.
- Help implement SEO, marketing tools integrations, database management best practices and analytics tracking.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience with WordPress and e-commerce platforms, especially Shopify.
Tools & Technical Skills required
- Experience in building and customizing WordPress websites using Elementor and other builders.
- Proficiency in setting up and customizing Shopify stores, including working with Liquid templates and integrating third-party apps.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for creating responsive and interactive user interfaces.
- Basic PHP for WordPress development, along with experience in integrating REST APIs and payment gateways like Stripe, PayPal, and POS systems.
- Hands-on experience with website optimization (caching, page speed), and basic security best practices.
- Familiarity with Git for version control and tools like GitHub or GitLab for collaboration and code management.
