Supply Chain & Commercial Specialist

About the Role

Nongmin Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Commercial Specialist with deep, proven connections to factories, suppliers, and vendors. This role involves driving procurement, vendor management, commercial negotiations, logistics, and compliance. Frequent visits to factory sites, supplier hubs, and client meetings are required. The ideal candidate will be a strategic negotiator who can secure competitive terms, ensure on-time delivery, and optimize costs without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely procurement of raw materials or products.
  • Monitor stock levels, coordinate samples, manage reorder points, and use ERP systems to track inventory in real time, minimizing overstock and stockouts.
  • Coordinate transportation, optimize shipping routes, and ensure timely delivery to customers or production units.
  • Align supply with production schedules, forecast material requirements, and collaborate with manufacturing teams.
  • Maintain communication with vendors, resolve supply issues, and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Draft and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Analyze cost structures, suggest savings, and prepare budgets for procurement and logistics.
  • Monitor market trends, mitigate supply chain risks, and collaborate with finance, sales, and operations teams to align strategies with business goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field, with 5-7 years of experience in supply chain/procurement/commercial roles (garments, textiles, or manufacturing preferred).
  • Established network with reputable factories, mills, converters, and logistics partners, with strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs clearance, and import/export procedures.
  • Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, and advanced Excel.
  • Strong communication skills (Bangla & English) and excellent documentation and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Willing to travel frequently domestically and occasionally internationally, with field problem-solving expertise.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to compliance and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Result-oriented with measurable impact on cost, quality, and delivery, along with familiarity in demand planning, inventory control, AQL/quality checkpoints, and pre-shipment inspections.

Tools & Technical Skills

  • ERP/MRP: SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, Odoo (or similar).
  • Productivity & Analysis: Excel/Sheets (advanced), PowerPoint/Slides, basic Power BI/Tableau (a plus).
  • Sourcing & RFx: Bid comparison templates, should-cost tools, vendor databases.
  • Logistics Ops: Freight booking portals, shipment tracking, C&F coordination workflows.
  • Documentation: PO, PI, LC/TT workflows, packing lists, BL/AWB, BoE, COO, Form-A, HS codes.
  • Quality/Compliance: AQL tables, audit checklists, corrective/preventive action logs.

Work Location & Travel
